The Mustard Seed

“But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].” (Hebrews 11:6)

Faith is to the Kingdom of God what flour is to a cake. You can’t bake a cake without flour and you can’t walk with God without faith. When we get born again, it’s not just a ticket to heaven in the sweet by and by with nothing to do but wait for the rapture to come. Everyone has a purpose to fulfill. There are rewards and crowns we are earning…there are treasures in heaven we must lay up now. How? Through our faith exploits for God…interceding for the lost; laying hands on the sick; casting out devils; funding the kingdom with our resources; leading people to Jesus; mentoring the new believers….the list goes on and on. However small a contribution you feel you make to the Kingdom of God, think again. God sees the hidden things you do that no one else does. He sees the hours you spend in prayer for the lost, He sees the talents you pour into help the church function properly for everyone to have an encounter with God on Sundays, He sees it all and guess what? THAT is what you are storing up in heaven as a treasure. That is where your heart is and that is part of His plan for you. Don’t be weary in well doing…every act of love like this is advancing the Kingdom of God more than you know, so keep doing what you are doing for Him because your faith does indeed please Him very much!

Blessings everyone…
