“For me to live is Christ [His life in me], and to die is gain [the gain of the glory of eternity]. If, however, it is to be life in the flesh and I am to live on here, that means the fruitful service for me; so I can say nothing as to my personal preference (I cannot choose). But I am hard pressed between the two. My yearning desire is to depart (to be free of this world, to set forth) and be with Christ, that is far, far better; but to remain in my body is more needful and essential for your sake.” (Philippians 1:21-24)
When we turn our life over to Jesus and invite Him to be our Savior, He begins to bring us into the plan that He had for us from the foundation of the world. You are a unique person. You were conceived in the heart of God long before your mother’s womb. He truly does have a specific purpose for each and every one of us. We all have talents that are unique to us. He also gave us a free will. We have the freedom to choose His way or the way of the world. If we choose His way, He can fulfill the plan; if we choose the world, the plan is thwarted. When we choose Him and follow Him, our lives become “hidden” in Jesus. Meaning that eventually, as we grow spiritually, Jesus is what is seen in our lives. The Apostle Paul reached it; you can too. To know for a certainty that whether we live or die, we win, is a freedom that only Christianity offers. Think about it: no matter how great your life is without Him, it will be even better with Him in it…He loves you enough to die for you. Ask Him in to your life today.
