The Secret Place

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].” (Psalm 91:1)

This scriptures shows us a pathway into a dimension of God that relatively few people find. The key word is DWELL. What does it mean to dwell? To dwell means to live in it, to remain in it, to stay in it. It’s a daily journey to His Heart. Realize this: His Heart is completely opened to YOU. Yes YOU. No matter how insignificant you think you are; you are not insignificant to Him.

How do we go about finding this secret place? Start right where you are at. First tell Him you want to dwell in the secret place. Then begin to meet with Him at a special time of the day..early morning, evening..whatever. You can sing songs to Him, read the Bible back to Him, or just sit quietly before Him. However you choose to go there, the important thing is to start going there!

If you aren’t close to God right now, you might feel stupid at first. Push past it. Soon you will look forward to the quiet times with Him. You will see the peace of God, a peace that only He has, begin to surround your life. His Presence is an addiction. Once you experience it, you will never be the same. Beloved, He really, really longs to experience it with you. Pray this prayer to start this wonderful journey today:

Father, I come before You in the Name of Jesus. I ask You to forgive my sins and wash me in His Blood. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I want to go to the secret place and dwell with You there. I ask that You meet me there today. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen!

Now, pick a time of day and a place for you to meet with Him every day. A place that is reserved just for this. On your front porch, walking in the woods or on the beach. A time and a place just for you and Him. Meet Him there every chance you get and just watch how your life will blossom into something you never dreamed possible…

Blessings everyone…
