The Power of the Holy Spirit

And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place. When suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the rushing of a violent tempest blast, and it filled the whole house in which they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them. And they were all filled with (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words].” (Acts 2:1-4)

Here we are in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. Jesus had already ascended to sit at the right Hand of God. He told His disciples to go back to Jerusalem and wait for the Comforter; the Holy Spirit to come. As they were all praying together in this upstairs room for about 120 days, He came in like a mighty rushing wind. This moment is what all the Old Testament saints had longed for…the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on ALL men without measure! The opportunity for mankind to really get victory in their lives as individuals on a daily basis! IT was a dream come true. 2000 + years later we STILL have this same opportunity to let the Holy Spirit fill us to overflowing with Himself. So many people are missing out on the greatest experience a human being can experience by thinking this gift no longer exists. The Bible says that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. In these last days, because we are living in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ, we have got to have the power of the Holy Spirit without measure to fight the onslaught of satan’s attacks. Just look around you and you can see the utter madness of this country and across the world.

When we are born again, the Holy Spirit fills us and makes our spirit alive unto God. That is our ticket to heaven. However, to OVERCOME in this world the way Jesus said we are to do, we need the power of the Holy Spirit through the gift of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. If you are in a tough situation that is beyond the scope of your ability to cope, ask Jesus to baptize you in the Holy Spirit to give you the power and boldness to fight back and take your rightful position…a position that Jesus died to give you. If you want the gift of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit..ask Jesus to do it in faith, or find a person you know is filled and ask them to help you…and let the adventure begin…

Blessings everyone…
