The Hope of Glory

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. Then we, the living ones who remain on the earth, shall simultaneously be caught up along with the resurrected dead in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always through the eternities of the eternities, we shall be with the Lord! Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words.” (I Thessalonians 4:16-18)

This is the blessed hope of every born-again believer. The day when we hear that trumpet sound and we are caught up, forever changed from mortal to immortal. The hope of glory motivates us to push ahead in this life. Working with God to bring more people into this same hope-filled position.

Everywhere we look we see crazy things happening. Things we thought weren’t possible to happen in our country or even around the world, yet they are happening regularly. As believers, we must continue to look up, because we know that our redemption is drawing close! That blessed hope-filled day when we will see Him face to face.

Beloved, this hope should also give us a sense of urgency. The hour is late. We can all think of people we love and care for who we know don’t have this hope. It’s time to really press in for our lost loved ones and for all men everywhere to meet Jesus and be ready for that trumpet call! Jesus Christ: the HOPE of glory…

Blessings everyone…
