The Habit

“Enoch walk [in habitual fellowship] with God after the birth of Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Enoch were 365 years (on the Earth). And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him].” (Genesis 5:21-24)

Enoch is a fascinating character to me. I can’t wait to meet him when I get to Heaven! Enoch was only on Earth 365 years, but in that time he developed such an intimate relationship with God that he just went home to heaven still in his physical body! That is amazing!

Enoch cultivated a friendship with God that grew into this incredible intimacy. He must have had such a passion for God! Habitual fellowship. He was addicted to God. God was always on his mind. He woke up thinking about Him, he spent his days talking and communicating with Him and he went to sleep thinking about Him.

It takes a special kind of passion and love to do what Enoch did. We can do it too if we have the passion and love for God that Enoch started with. Jesus said if we only have a mustard seed level of faith, we can move mountains. Sure a mustard seed faith can produce an incredibly intimate relationship with God.

Beloved, think about your level of passion and love for God today. Are you hungry for more? There is a whole world of possibilities in God to be explored for those who are hungry and who love Him passionately! Begin today to cultivate the same habitual fellowship that Enoch did and watch what happens…

Blessings everyone…
