My Helper

“Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! Assuredly not!

So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5 & 6)

All around us are people we know and love who are up against horrible situations that cause fear and dread. Situations like these bring people to a crossroads; a decision point in their lives: do I trust God to bring me through it or do I blame God for it and let bitterness set in?

What a boost these words are to those who choose to trust God! God has said “I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down!” If you can put your faith and trust in His willingness and ability to do this for you, you can walk through the situation confidently to the other side where victory is.

Lord help us all to grab hold of the knowledge that You are willing and able to get us through any fiery trial we encounter in life. Help us to stand on this Your Word that says “The Lord is my Helper!”

Blessings everyone…
