The God Love

“He personally bore our sins in His own body on the tree, as on an altar and offered Himself on it, that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds, you have been healed. For you were going astray like so many sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian (the Bishop) of your souls.” (I Peter 2:23-25)

What would motivate the Creator of all things to come and pay for everybody’s sins? The God love. Think about a shepherd. To a shepherd, sheep aren’t just animals. They represent his wealth. His livelihood. He is perfectly willing to die protecting his investment. If someone comes at you to take everything you own, you aren’t going to just sit there—you are going to fight for it. Things that are precious to us are fought for.

God considers us precious–worth fighting for, and yes, worth dying for. So He came out of eternity and into time–out of the supernatural into the natural, to become like one of us so it can never be said that He doesn’t know how we feel! He went even further by submitting to Roman crucifixion; the most agonizing death known to man.

He took ALL sin upon Him on that tree, so that everyone down through the ages can come and receive a new life–a life full of Him, who fills all in all! What an opportunity!

He did all this because of His great love for us. His sheep. His investment. He fought for you and me and He won us back! But the decision to accept what He did is in our hands. It is a decision that every human being has to make while they walk on this planet. You can choose to come back into His fold or you can stay in the wilderness.

Whatever your decision, His love for you never wavers, it never changes. He wants you more than anything! He wants a friendship with you. Yes…YOU. You can turn to Him at any time and He will gladly run to meet you. Turn to Him today…

Blessings everyone…
