The Master of Time

“To whom then will you liken Me, that I should be equal to him? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see! Who has created these? He Who brings out their host by number and calls them by name; through the greatness of His might and because He is strong in power, not one is missing or lacks anything.

Why, O Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, My way and my lot are hidden from the Lord, and my right is passed over without regard from my God? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength. (Isaiah 40:27-29)

If we only could fathom how really great and big and powerful God is, our whole attitude towards Him would change. So many times people, including me, have acted like we are doing God a favor by believing that He exists. In reality, He doesn’t need our validation of who He is. He is God. He is the Author of it all. The beauty of His creation: the universe itself proclaims that He is the only True and Living God! He has no beginning and He has no end. He is the Everlasting God!

He created time and He put us into time in order to prove us, to see who we will serve: Him or our own ways. We are the only creatures with the God-given right to choose Him or reject Him. We are the only creatures ever created who are redeemable. The angels marvel at us because of this one thing. They call us “the redeemed.” They marvel because they KNOW how big, and powerful and glorious God is. They look into His face every day.

They marvel also at the complete lack of respect and callousness that mankind shows towards Him. They marvel at His mercy towards us. His compassions fail not even when we fail Him over and over again. They marvel when they see real faith come from us to Him. They marvel when the Blood is applied to a life and sin is completely gone. They marvel at our Savior, who died and rose again so that we might live with Him forever.

Time will end one day and we will all be gathered again into eternity. Where we spend eternity is what is determined in the short span of time here on this little planet in the universe.  He is the Master of Eternity–and He is the Master of Time!

Blessings everyone…
