A Thankful Heart

“O God, my heart is fixed (steadfast, in the confidence of faith); I will sing, yes, I will sing praises, even with my glory [all the faculties and powers of one created in Your image]! Awake, harp and lyre; I myself will wake very early–I will waken the dawn!

I will praise and give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; and I will sing praises unto You among the nations. For Your mercy and loving-kindnesses are great and high as the heavens! Your truth and faithfulness reach to the skies!

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let Your glory be over all the earth. That Your beloved followers may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer us! [or me]!” (Psalm 108:1-6)

Everyone experiences hardships in life whether they are in the Kingdom of God or not. Life happens. The Word says that the sun shines on the just and the unjust. Because of this we sometimes make mistakes, get hurt, are unjustly accused and the list goes on of problems that can arise in life.   Jesus said it would happen.

To rise above all of these negatives, we must have a fixed heart and a thankful heart. A made up mind. The scriptures say a fixed heart is “steadfast, in the confidence of faith.” If you know Him and have received the washing of His Blood, then He knows you. It is this confidence that enables us to rise above it and praise and give thanks to Him.

His mercies are great and beyond our ability to fathom. What we think may be unpardonable, is completely gone when it is put on the altar and His Blood is applied.

Did you mess up this week? Did you fall down this week? Did you get hurt this week? Take heart! The Greater One lives in YOU and He has given His Son to deliver you out of ALL your troubles! Fix your heart and settle in your mind that you belong to Him regardless of what life throws at you. He will walk with you right through it!  Oh, and don’t forget to give thanks to Him for His mercies are new every morning…

Blessings everyone…
