The Choice

“He who is not with Me [definitely on My side], is against Me, and he who does not definitely gather with Me and for My side scatters. Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy (every evil, abusive, injurious speaking, or indignity against sacred things) can be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven.

And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Spirit, the Holy One, will not be forgiven, either in this world and age or in the world and age to come.

Either make the tree sound (healthy and good), and its fruit sound, or make the tree rotten (diseased and bad), and its fruit rotten; for the tree is known and recognized and judged by its fruit.” (Matthew 12:30-33)

Jesus is basically telling us here that we need to choose which side we are going to be on. Fence-riding is no longer an option because the age of grace is winding down. The harvest season is coming to an end soon. Those who claim to know Him and those who really know Him are beginning to be seen more and more clearly. The wheat and the tares are clearly seen.

It is much easier for someone who has never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ than for someone who has heard but has turned away from Him. A hardened heart is so hard to reach. Hard, but not impossible. Through prayer—intercessory, committed prayer–they can be reached.

Everyone who is called by the Name of the Lord is being called into the harvest fields. Everyone can sow seeds of the Gospel in the lives of those around them. How?

  1. Pray for the lost and backslidden in your life. Everyone has a list they can start praying for immediately.

  2. Post encouraging scriptures, or challenging scriptures on Facebook or even do a blog like I’m doing. You never know how God will use what you write to reach someone before it’s too late!

  3. Live your life in faith. Let your life be a light of hope and peace to everyone around you. How you live your life speaks volumes…more than you can imagine. Your words and actions have more impact than you realize.

  4. Go out into the community and talk to people, in the store, in the hospitals, in the nursing homes, in the parks..let the Holy Spirit guide you. Give to the poor at every opportunity. There are so many local opportunities to help!

  5. Learn how to minister the power of God to people when God starts bringing them to you. Learn how to introduce someone to Jesus, learn how to lead them in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, learn how to lay hands on the sick and see them recover, learn how to cast out devils, learn how to operate in the power of God as He unctions you! The Bible tells you how, or find a mentor.

It’s time for everyone to make that decision: which side are you on? Are you going to gather with Him or scatter with the rest of the lost world? Today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us. Choose life–choose Jesus Christ.

Blessings everyone…
