The Season

“But relative to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to meet Him, we beg you brethren, not to allow your minds to be quickly unsettled or disturbed or kept excited or alarmed, whether it be by some pretended revelation of the Spirit or by word or by letter [alleged to be] from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has already arrived and is here.

Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition), who opposes and exalts himself so proudly and insolently against and over all that is called God or that is worshiped, taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming that he himself is God.” (II Thessalonians 2:1-4)

Speculation is swirling all over the place about the end times these days with movies and books coming out right and left.  Everybody knows that these days are different from we’ve ever seen or read about.  Everybody knows on some level, that there is a shift underway in the earth.

The “gathering together” is almost here for one telling reason.  The great falling away is happening right now.  Entire denominations are turning from the faith and embracing things the Bible calls abominations.  This “emerging church” that is more “relevant” in today’s society is the result of this falling away.  Sound doctrine of the Bible is not tolerated anymore by people who don’t want to conform to the image of Christ.

What is left is the revealing of the son of perdition or the anti-Christ who, I’m sure is just waiting in the wings to enter the world stage.  He hasn’t been revealed yet.  Do you see how very close we are to His coming for His Bride?  We may not know the hour, but its easy to see we are definitely in the season.  It is the season for the Bride to prepare herself to meet Him when He comes.

It is the season to examine our hearts for anything that does not conform to His will for our lives.  To repent of hidden and open sins and rebellion against His Word.  It is the season to leave worldly cares and problems at His feet and pursue more and more intimacy with the Father.  It is the season to set ourselves apart from the world to become the salt and the light that Jesus said we should be.  It is the season to give our love for Him full reign–we take ourselves off the throne of our lives and put Him on the throne.

When we get to this place we are ready.  We will hear the trumpet call and be changed instantly from mortal to immortal and meet Him in the air.  The season is here…

Blessings everyone…
