In The End–WE WIN!

“And when the dragon saw that he was cast down to the earth, he went in pursuit of the woman who had given birth to the male Child.  But the woman was supplied with the two wings of a giant eagle, so that she might fly from the presence of the serpent into the desert wilderness, to the retreat where she is to be kept safe and fed for a time and times, and a half a time (three and one-half years, or 1260 days).

Then out of his mouth the serpent spouted forth water like a flood after the woman, that she might be carried with the torrent.  But the earth came to the rescue of the woman, and the ground opened its mouth and swallowed up the stream of water which the dragon had spouted from his mouth.

So then the dragon was furious (enraged) at the woman, and he went away to wage war on the remainder of her descendants–on those who obey God’s commandments and who have the testimony of Jesus Christ [and adhere to and bear witness to Him].” (Revelation 12:13-17)

Satan is relentless in the pursuit of our destruction.  We are the bearers of the Light in the earth and he wants it completely snuffed out.  Even though Revelation is a prophetic book and this scripture is probably for the future, there is a wonderful nugget in here I hope you get today!

Notice that the dragon was not kept from coming after her.  He even tried several strategies to destroy her.  He was not prevented from attacking.  But God…is faithful to deliver her and keep her for that season of trouble.

First God brings her to a wilderness retreat.  Satan sends a flood to the retreat to destroy her.  God uses the very earth to swallow up the water so it doesn’t overflow her.  Still he goes on waging war with the Saints.  Relentlessly trying to steal as many of God’s children as he can before he is completely cut off.

Right in the middle of the fiercest battle, He is there to protect.  He is there to work it out for our good.  He provides the wings of eagles.  Like the scripture says “they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles.  They shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.”

Nugget: God protects and wars with us against our common adversary.  Keep your eyes on Jesus..look with eternal eyes, not at the raging battle all around you. In the end, we win.  Don’t give up…in the end YOU win…

Blessings everyone…
