“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed–in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 15:50-58)
The Scripture says “eye has not seen nor hear heard nor has entered into the heart of man, the things the LORD has laid up for those who love Him.” When it is all said and done and the dust settles, and the end of all things is complete: the people of God WILL inherit the earth. The people of God will remain forever in His kingdom.
We will all be changed from flesh and blood to flesh and bone–just like Jesus is right now. He is the firstborn of the dead. His resurrection gave Him the first immortal body. God has set life and death before every human being born in the earth. There comes a day when we have to choose: His way or our own way. Life or death. Those who choose life will inherit the kingdom, and those who choose death will be cast into the lake of fire.
At this very moment you can choose life. At any junction on the road of life, you can choose to follow Jesus. It doesn’t have to end bad for you. There is a whole world of goodness from God waiting for you. He has a book with your name on it that is full of the wonderful plans He has for your life. It’s not too late to come to Him and begin to fulfill those plans.
