The Great Escape

“The righteous perishes, and no man takes it to heart; merciful men are taken away, while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil.  He shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.” (Isaiah 57:1-2)

“But come here, you sons of sorcerers; you offspring of the adulterer and the harlot!  Who do you ridicule?  Against whom do you make a wide mouth and stick out your tongue?  Are you not children of transgression, offspring of falsehood, inflaming yourselves with gods under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?” (Isaiah 57:3-5)

“Among the smooth stones of the stream is your portion; they, they are your lot!  Even so to them you have poured a drink offering, you have offered a grain offering.  Should I receive comfort in these?  On a lofty and high mountain you have set your bed; even there you went up to offer sacrifice.  Also behind the doors and their posts you have set up your remembrance; for you have uncovered yourself to those other than Me, and have gone up to them;  you have enlarged your bed and made a covenant with them; you have loved their bed, where you saw their nudity.” (Isaiah 57:6-8)

“You are wearied in the length of your way; yet you did not say, there is no hope.”  You have found the life of your hand; therefore, you were not grieved.  And of whom have you been afraid, or feared, that you have lied and not remembered Me, nor taken it to heart?  Is it not because I have held My peace from of old that you do not fear Me?” (Isaiah 57:10-11)

“I will declare your righteousness and your works, for they will not profit you.  When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you.  But the wind will carry them all away, a breath will take them.  But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain.” (Isaiah 12-13)

This is a lengthy passage, but it has a principle in it I want to bring out.  The nation of Israel from its inception, worshipped the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.   Jehovah God.  The One True God.  The Creator.  They saw His glory on Mount Sinai literally come down from heaven to earth.  His pillar followed them through the wilderness for forty years, yet when they made it to the promised land and settled there they went after the demon gods of their pagan neighbors.  Why were they so easily lured away from the glory of the Lord?  Simple: the pleasures of the senses.  They wanted then what people still want today.  Money, sex, and drugs/alcohol.  They wanted to party, living it up.

Think about it.  The Law of Moses was very strict.  Sex was limited to your wife/husband.  Alcohol in moderation.  No other gods before Him.  Period.  They got to looking around at the Canaanites and how they were going to the Saturday night orgy, drinking like crazy with not a care in the world–and they wanted to cast off the restraints of the Most High.  So they did.  The started worshipping the demon gods of the Canaanites.  Going to the orgies, burning their children alive in the belly of Molech, to get more power and perceived blessings from this demon.

They demonized the righteous.  Those who loved the Lord they scorned and mocked and even killed.  Their righteousness was an affront because the light of it shone on their beloved darkness.

Fast-forward to today’s societies and the same things are going on.  Not much has changed.  The same demons are still operating.  Children are still being slain in every city.  Godlessness has overtaken almost every culture in the world.  Are there any righteous ones left?  Yes, and they are demonized and persecuted and killed all day long.  People have long since lost their fear of the LORD.  Because He has been merciful and gracious, people take that for weakness.  Make no mistake.  God Jehovah is NOT weak and the whole world will soon see just how powerful He is.

When the righteous are taken out of this evil, then people will see how very dark the world really is.  The time of Jacob’s Trouble is approaching the LORD says.  The time for His Bride to be taken out of this evil is almost here.  The question is not will the Bride be ready, rather the question is: are YOU a part of the Bride?  The Bride is preparing to meet a holy God.  Holiness before God is demanded of Him.

You might say “a little drinking and smoke a few reefers here and there aren’t too bad.  Didn’t I say the sinner’s prayer a few years ago?  A few one night stands aren’t that bad or it’s OK to sleep over at my girlfriend/boyfriend’s house, after all, we are Christians aren’t we?”  Don’t be deceived, that is not holiness before God.  That is not living before Him in righteousness and you will NOT be taken out of the evil.

The Bride of Christ is not subject to His wrath.  He has provided a way of escape for us.  Take it or leave it.  What is more important to you?  The next hit of the crack pipe? The next tryst with your lover?  The next drink?–OR is Jesus number one?  Is He your all in all?  Only you can make that decision.

Meet Jesus Here…

Blessings everyone…
