Total Victory

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” (Job 42:10)

The book of Job has so much rich insights into the spiritual realm that it is very much worth digging into! Job had it all..he was the richest man in the entire region. He had lots of animals, servants and many children. His children loved to party and Job was afraid their partying would anger God, so he was always performing sacrifices on their behalf. But fear is a doorway for Satan to go through and that is how Satan was able to begin to tear Job’s life apart.

This poor guy lost all his children in one day, all his wealth of animals was stolen by thieves and his servants killed. Then he was tormented with loathsome sores all over his body. It was an incredible attack..a spiritual equivalent of an ICBM missile attack! What support did he have? His wife said he should just curse God and die. Then 3 of his friends came and basically said it was his fault. Job had lots of faith in God, but he was wearing thin and began to question God. He and God had a long heart to heart talk and Job’s faith was strengthened. God was angry that Job’s friends were saying things about Him that weren’t right. Meaning they didn’t really know Him, they just knew and assumed things about Him.

But Job prayed for his friends and when he did, God stopped the devil’s onslaught and restored it all and doubled it! So many people are in the fight of their life and the devil is shooting ICBM missiles into their lives to completely and utterly destroy them. If you are one of these people, know this: keep pursuing God in spite of your circumstances. Hold on to His hand through the fire and you will come out on the other side stronger and victorious. With a double portion!

Blessings everyone…
